Job Description

Chemical engineers play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing processes to produce a variety of products while ensuring safety, efficiency, and sustainability. As a Chemical Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for applying principles of chemistry, biology, physics, and mathematics to solve problems involving the production and use of chemicals, fuel, drugs, food, and many other products. You will be anticipated to invent, design, and develop new processes, and oversee transitions of discoveries made in laboratories to commercial-scale manufacturing. You'll work closely with other engineers and scientists to ensure environmental and regulatory compliance across projects. The ideal candidate will possess profound technical knowledge, creativity, critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a challenging environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize chemical processes for improved efficiency and sustainability.
  • Design and implement safety procedures for chemical operations and process systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and develop new production setups.
  • Conduct research to evaluate new chemical products and processes for various industries.
  • Supervise pilot plant operations and recommend process changes for better productivity.
  • Ensure environmental compliance by conducting risk assessments and audits regularly.
  • Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and compliance records for review.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to resolve problems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to optimize the supply chain and raw materials.
  • Analyze data and prepare graphs or charts to summarize findings for managerial review.
  • Utilize computer simulation software to predict process behavior under various conditions.
  • Participate in professional development workshops to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
  • At least 3 years of direct experience in chemical engineering or process development.
  • Proven expertise in chemical process design, simulation, and optimization techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, with attention to environmental details.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and environmental safety regulatory standards.
  • Strong communication abilities for articulating technical reports and collaborating effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) and process simulation software preferred.
