Responsibilities

• Process all sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas, ensuring a pleasant experience.
• Handle returns and exchanges professionally, abiding by policies and procedures.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure balances.
• Resolve customer complaints and provide necessary information expertly and courteously.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive store environment.
• Replenish merchandise and assist in inventory management as needed.
• Balance cash and receipts at the end of shifts, ensuring no discrepancies.
• Promote loyalty programs and store events proactively to customers.
• Operate scales and scanners effectively to facilitate transactions accurately.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to reduce theft and fraud at checkout.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• Previous experience in a retail or related cashier role is preferred.
