Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
• Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area at all times.
• Identify and resolve any customers’ issues or concerns promptly.
• Assist customers by providing information and answering their questions.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Handle returned merchandise and process refunds or exchanges if necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and goals.
• Adhere to all store policies, procedures, and regulations consistently.
• Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise as needed.
• Update price changes and promotions as directed by management.
• Report discrepancies, losses, or customer complaints to management immediately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education is required for this position.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and noisy environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer and point of sale (POS) systems is advantageous.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
