Job Description

An Accounts Payable Executive is an essential component of any finance team, responsible for managing the financial liabilities of the business. This role involves handling all aspects of the accounts payable function to ensure timely and accurate payment of company expenses. The Accounts Payable Executive will process and manage a variety of transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments. They will also perform reconciliations and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial data are critical in this role. The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and possess strong analytical skills to contribute effectively to the finance department's goals.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices to maintain vendor relationships.
  • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports.
  • Establish and maintain a positive and productive relationship with vendors.
  • Review and verify expense reports for adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor accounts payable aging reports and manage payment schedules.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate historical records by scanning and filing documents appropriately.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and vendor queries promptly.
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks and bank reconciliations.
  • Support the financial audit process and provide requested documentation.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of accounts payable tasks.
  • Collaborate with other finance team members to enhance financial reporting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and related software tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions promptly.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage workload effectively.
