Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in faculty meetings and contribute to departmental goals.
  • Maintain office hours to provide academic counseling and support to students.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Conduct research in the field of accounting to contribute to academic knowledge.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methodologies and materials.
  • Guide students in career planning and academic pursuits to ensure development.
  • Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences related to accounting.
  • Contribute to the accreditation processes for the accounting program when necessary.
  • Assist in the recruitment and mentoring of adjunct faculty in the accounting department.

Requirements

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience at the college level preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse students.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish academic research in accounting.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology tools and online learning platforms.
  • Commitment to student success, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively with a team.
