Job Description

The role of the Academic Coordinator is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation and academic excellence of educational programs. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement academic policies and procedures to ensure educational quality.
  • Coordinate curriculum planning and development with department heads and faculty.
  • Schedule courses and assign faculty to classes based on departmental needs.
  • Monitor student academic progress and provide guidance to achieve academic goals.
  • Facilitate communication between students, faculty, and administrative staff effectively.
  • Organize and supervise academic events, such as workshops and seminars.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional regulations.
  • Provide support for faculty development and continuing education opportunities.
  • Gather and analyze data to improve academic programs and student outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for academic programs and initiatives.
  • Support academic advising and orientation programs for new students.
  • Address and resolve conflicts related to academic issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, administration, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience in an academic administrative role, preferably as a coordinator.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze academic data and generate actionable insights for improvement.
  • Proficiency in office software applications and academic management systems.
