UI Developer - Senior Associate

Job Purpose

We’re looking for a contract UI-focused React developer to help build and refine analytical, data-driven web

applications for a quantitative trading firm. This role is hands-on and implementation-driven, working in

production React codebases where data visualization, performance, and correct client/server separation are

critical

Key Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining UI components in React + TypeScript
• Developing data visualization and analytical interfaces (tables, charts, dashboards)
• Implementing responsive layouts and design systems using Tailwind CSS
• Working within applications that mix server-side and client-side logic
• Making informed decisions about what belongs on the client vs. the server
• Integrating UI with backend APIs that serve time-series and quantitative data
• Optimizing rendering performance for large datasets and frequent updates
• Debugging issues related to async data, re-renders, and UI state consistency
  
  

• Strong experience with React and TypeScript
• Clear understanding of client vs. server responsibilities in modern React apps
• Experience building data-heavy UIs (tables, charts, filters, dashboards)
• Comfortable working with asynchronous data flows and state management
• Solid command of Tailwind CSS and responsive design patterns
• Ability to reason about performance, memoization, and rendering efficiency
• Able to work independently in an existing, complex codebase
  
  

• Experience with financial, trading, or analytical applications
• Familiarity with charting or visualization libraries (e.g. ECharts, Chart.js)
• Experience handling time-series data or streaming updates
• Strong attention to UI precision and data accuracy
• Experience collaborating via Git (PRs, reviews, async communication)
