Job Overview And Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the United Digital Channels & Ecommerce technology team. In this position, you will be a be a lead the cloud transformation journey. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and expertise in secure DevOps are essential.

The Ecommerce technology DevOps team is responsible for CI/CD and maintenance of AWS resources. It is growing to increase both capacity and skill depth to ensure timely delivery of cloud-based compute environments. This is a pivotal role that will shape DevOps culture, deliver a reliable, secure, and efficient platform while collaborating with counterparts in the U.S.

• Architect secure, scalable, and reusable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for United.com.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and implementation for cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers to prioritize and address infrastructure requirements.
• Build new and reusable pipelines for development teams to support self-sufficiency in infrastructure and code deployment.
• Work within the internal DevOps teams to solve organizational needs.
• Continuously review and improve implemented designs.
• Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
• Evaluate and optimize systems, networks, and infrastructure for reliability and performance
• Participate in problem management processes to resolve root cause of failures and improve performance and reliability of systems and networks
• Ensure capacity management of specific computing platforms, network engineering and storage management is established
• Establish processes for system maintenance and security patching
• Ensure compliance of engineering policies, standards and procedures within functional team
• Stay updated on industry trends to drive platform innovation
• Ensure IT engineering process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc.) and standards are optimal
  
  

• Bachelors Degree in B. Tech. (Computer Science) or related area of study
• 5+ years of overall experience in IT
• 5+ years of experience in cloud technology (AWS)
• Demonstrate an innovative mentality by staying aware of new developments within the technology space and present solutions using new technologies to adapt to provide value to business.
• Work closely with team members in agile development environment where continuous integration and continuous delivery are critical
• Support, maintain, and document pipeline functionality and AWS resources.
• Analyze and refactor existing pipelines and IaC periodically to minimize technical debt.
• Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.
