We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to support our company-owned restaurants’ financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in cost analysis, financial reporting, and compliance, ensuring accurate financial data for decision-making. This role requires strong collaboration with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to drive financial efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Journal Entry Preparation & Review
Prepare and post recurring and ad-hoc journal entries for store operations.
Maintain adequate supporting documentation for all entries.
Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with local accounting standards and company policies.
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to inventory, prepaid expenses, accruals, advertising funds, and other store-related accounts.
Investigate and resolve aged reconciling items on a timely basis.
Ensure compliance with month-end close and accounting policies.
Store Performance Analysis
Monitor key operational and financial KPIs including sales, food cost, labour cost, EBITDA, and store profitability.
Identify underperforming stores and provide actionable recommendations to improve financial performance.
Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting Support
Support accounting for store fixed assets, capital expenditures, depreciation, and asset disposals.
Assist in lease accounting activities and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
Support periodic asset verification and impairment assessments.
Cash/AR Reconciliation
Monitor store cash balances, deposits, and cash reconciliation processes.
Ensure to maintain B/S schedules for receivables.
Business Partnering
Act as a finance partner to Operations, SCM, Marketing, and Market Finance teams.
Provide financial insights to support operational decisions and business initiatives.
Participate in business reviews and management meetings.
New Store Openings & Closures Accounting
Support financial accounting activities related to new store openings, remodel projects, relocations, and store closures.
Ensure proper accounting treatment of pre-opening expenses and closure costs.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance OR CA Qualified.
4+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or cost management (preferably in restaurant, retail, or FMCG industries).
Strong knowledge of cost analysis, P&L reporting, and financial reconciliation.
Experience working with ERP J D Edward System and financial reporting tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Work with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
