Why This Role Matters

As a Software Development Engineer - I, you'll build the backend systems that power millions of eCommerce transactions and experiences. From checkout and payments to RTO reduction and merchant-facing products, you'll write production-grade code, ship customer-facing features, and work alongside experienced engineers to build scalable, reliable systems. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership early while developing deep technical expertise in distributed systems and modern backend engineering.

What You'll Own

• Build, maintain, and optimize backend services using Node.js and NestJS, with exposure to Go as part of the engineering stack.
• Develop scalable APIs and backend systems using PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Contribute to event-driven architectures using Kafka and collaborate with senior engineers on distributed systems.
• Ship end-to-end features, including frontend contributions using React and Svelte when required.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in peer code reviews.
• Debug production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployments on AWS.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality product experiences.
  
  

Who You Are

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Exposure to Go, Redis, or Kafka is an advantage.
• Comfortable contributing across the stack, including frontend technologies like React or Svelte.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn while taking ownership of engineering challenges.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
