Senior Principal Engineer I

Experience: 15+ years of experience in embedded and broadband eco systems

We are looking for an experienced RDK-B Architect to lead the design and delivery of broadband gateway (CPE) solutions. You will own the end-to-end software architecture, drive platform integration across chipset vendors, and ensure alignment with operator requirements for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end RDK-B architecture for broadband gateway/CPE programs
• Define system design, layering, upgrade strategy, and extension mechanisms
• Lead integration with SoC/vendor SDKs (Broadcom, Airoha/MediaTek, Qualcomm)
• Routing, bridging, NAT/firewall, DNS/DHCP
• Wi-Fi management and optimization
• TR-069, WebPA, USP provisioning frameworks
• Define and manage Yocto-based build systems, meta layers, and release pipelines
• Optimize system performance (memory, boot time, stability)
• Support certification, field debugging, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with product, QA, and vendors for successful delivery
• Represent the organization in RDK community engagements where applicable
• Drive platform security aspects (secure boot, firmware upgrade strategy)
  
  

• Strong expertise in C/C++ and embedded Linux
• Hands-on experience with RDK-B platform
• Experience with Yocto / embedded build systems
• IPv4/IPv6, routing, switching, protocols
• DSL / Fiber / Cable / Fixed Wireless gateways
• Logs, packet capture, system-level analysis
• Experience working with Broadcom, Airoha/MediaTek, or Qualcomm chipsets
  
  

• Experience with PON (GPON/XGS-PON), DOCSIS, LTE/5G WAN
• Wi-Fi mesh/controller ecosystems (Airties, Plume, CTS)
• Knowledge of multicast, QoS, traffic management
• Exposure to large-scale deployments and operator environments
