We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst

Business: Finance Change

Principal Responsibilities

• Help the hedging units to understand how to harmonise fractured processes into a global operating model
• Define, discuss and agree with the business users the requirements for the HAWK system and wider hedging capability improvements
• Represent hedging unit users in various forums to explain and socialise the requirements and to facilitate decision making
• Manage the process of requirements grooming: explaining the business requirements to IT teams and support the development pods with their questions on requirements
• Manage team stand-ups with the IT leads
• Support technical solution discussion with IT teams and IT Architects
• Work with the different teams to plan User Acceptance Testing and support the business users by writing test cases and supporting the test execution
• Apply best practice project delivery standards aligned to HSBC’s Change Framework
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in business change roles in a Finance context, preferably supporting Hedge Accounting projects or Product Control
• a solid understanding of how to go about producing a BRD; importance of scenarios, exception paths, providing sample data to make a good set of requirements.
• Experience of producing operating models and defining processes
• experience of running working groups or workshops with senior participants and have good strategies at your fingertips to manage those delivery processes effectively
• must be able to turn business requirements into a set of IT tasks cohesively and should understand how to ensure that this process is free of ambiguity
• experience of running UAT and understand the competing pressures on users time / planning ahead.
• Solid foundation of change methodologies including planning and executing on business adoption criteria and ensuring non-financial risks are managed.
  
  

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience of agile methodologies especially scaled agile framework.
• Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
