Job Description

Cvent is a leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider with more than 5,000+ employees and ~24,000+ customers worldwide, including 53% of the Fortune 500. Our technology brings millions of people together at events around the world, transforming the meetings and events industry through innovative technology that powers human connection.

As Senior Pricing Analyst, you are the hands-on analytical engine behind Cvent's pricing and monetization strategy. Working within the Analytics & Insights team and reporting to the Analytics Manager, you will build pricing models, run elasticity and willingness-to-pay analyses, support deal desk and discount governance, and turn complex, multi-dimensional data into clear pricing recommendations for Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing. This is a senior individual-contributor role for someone who pairs deep technical analytics skill with strong pricing and commercial acumen, and who can own pricing workstreams end-to-end with limited supervision.

Pricing Analytics (core focus)

  • Build and maintain pricing and demand models, including price elasticity, cross-price elasticity, willingness-to-pay, and cohort value models.
  • Drive price optimization across tiers, products and geographies; surface revenue and margin opportunities and flag pricing risks.
  • Provide deal-support analytics to Sales, including custom pricing simulations, ROI models, discount scenarios, and competitive positioning.
  • Support discount governance by analyzing discounting patterns and building the data to inform policy and approval thresholds.
  • Conduct deal win/loss analysis and competitive benchmarking to refine pricing and discount strategy.
  • Power Quarterly Pricing Reviews with structured analysis, insights, and clear recommendations for Finance and GTM leadership.
  • Translate complex, multi-dimensional datasets into coherent, business-friendly recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Conduct comprehensive lifecycle analysis including data gathering and cleansing, statistical modeling, and strategic recommendations.
  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reports in Sigma so business teams can access pricing and revenue insights independently.
  • Partner with Engineering and Data Platform teams to improve data quality, pipeline reliability, and the metrics underpinning pricing analysis.
  • Document methodologies and maintain analytical best practices and definitions.
  • Partner with Product, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to align on metric definitions and reporting standards.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly through presentations and written reports for senior audiences.

AI & Automation

  • Apply AI/ML techniques (forecasting, segmentation, propensity, churn) to pricing and revenue problems.
  • Use LLM/GenAI tools to accelerate analysis, reporting, and documentation, following responsible-AI practices around accuracy and data governance.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL/Snowflake, with the ability to work independently against large, complex datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools; Sigma and/or Tableau required.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; able to build clear, executive-ready analyses and presentations.
  • Strong working knowledge of statistics applied to pricing, elasticity, segmentation, or forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience developing pricing or value models using advanced statistical techniques.
  • Ability to decipher large, multi-dimensional datasets and present findings in a coherent, business-friendly structure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication; comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to frame ambiguous, open-ended business problems into structured analyses and decision-ready outputs.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in pricing, revenue management, or advanced analytics; SaaS/Tech industry preferred.
  • BTech or graduation in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with SQL/Snowflake, Sigma/Tableau, and Advanced Excel.
  • Proven track record of delivering pricing or analytics work that drove measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated experience applying statistical and/or AI/ML techniques to real-world pricing, revenue, or customer analytics problems (preferred).
