We are seeking a skilled SAP CAP developer to join our team and contribute to the development of enterprise-grade applications on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The role involves backend development using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP) with Node.js and TypeScript, as well as frontend development using Fiori Elements and SAP UI5 (freestyle).

To be successful in this role, you should be able to align the global Tax and Legal landscape with the business’activities and proposed wider business processes.You will be the lynchpin between the Tax Function and IT Function,ensuring that we build the best SAP Tax design for the client.This will require the ability to explain complex terms toa variety of different stakeholders, and in a way that is relevant to each stakeholder group.You will also need tocontinually assess the SAP product suite and development roadmap to integrate any updated specifications andrequirementsinto SAPsystemarchitecture.

You will also need to integrate with the wider client project team (whether that is delivered by Deloitte Consulting oranother Systems Integration partner). This will involve an understanding of how the tax design interacts with otherprocessflowsandalsotheinter-personal skillsto buildtherequiredrelationships.

Keyresponsibilities -

ü Develop backend services using SAP CAP with Node.js and Typescript

ü Define data models using CDS and expose services via OData V4

ü Implement custom logic and extensions beyond standard CAP features

ü Integrate with external systems via REST, OData, and other APIs

ü Build user interfaces using both FIORI Elements and freestyle SAPUI5 applications

ü Develop and maintain multilingual, versioned, and workflow enabled applications

ü Collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to clarify requirements, delivery backlog items

ü Provide consulting guidance to stakeholders on solution design within the CAP framework

ü Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement processes

ü Deploy and operate applications on SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry or Kyma)

QualificationandExperienceRequired–

ü Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

ü 2-5 years of professional experience in SAP development, with proven hands-on experience in SAP CAP (Node.js), TypeScript, and SAP UI5/FIORI, javascript

ü Solid hands-on experience with SAP CAP using Node.js runtime

ü Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js

ü Deep understanding of CDS modelling, OData services and CAP extensibility

ü Strong experience with SAPUI5 (freestyle) and FIORI Elements

ü Experience Integrating APIs and working with external systems

ü Familiarity with SAP BTP development environments and deployment pipelines

ü Ability to advise stakeholders and design maintainable solutions

ü Working knowledge of Git, agile methodologies ( Scrum/Kanban), and DevOps basics

ü CI/CD tooling (Github Actions, Jenkins, etc)

ü Knowledge of SAP authorization mechanisms (XSUAA, OAuth2)

ü Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

ü UX know-how and theming in SAP UI5
