We are looking for Quality Manager in Rolling Stock Projects
You’ll make a difference by
Contributes to project planning, to ensure quality-relevant requirements are considered from the sales phase.
Analyze contractual customer quality requirements and translate them into project quality actions.
Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP) aligned with Siemens QMS and contractual requirements.
Ensuring cross-functional cooperation with Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, and relevant suppliers to achieve quality business goals.
Implement and control quality assurance activities including reviews, inspections, testing, validation, and quality gates.
Manage non-conformances (NCs), deviations, and waivers, ensuring robust root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using tools such as RCA and 8D.
Driving the development of digital solutions related to project quality to continuously improve process effectiveness and efficiency
Lead and oversee Site Quality activities during installation, commissioning, and handover phases
Conduct site inspections, audits, and surveillance to ensure compliance with approved quality plans, procedures, and method statements
Lead resolution of site-related quality issues, including NCRs and corrective/preventive actions
Manage customer quality complaints, including investigation, root cause analysis, and coordination of corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure timely and transparent responses to customer quality issues.
Monitor, analyze, and report customer complaint trends to drive continuous improvement Plan and execute the project audit and assessment program, including internal, customer and certification audits where applicable.
Ensure timely closure of audit findings and continuous compliance with standards.
Establish and maintain project quality reporting, integrated with overall project reporting and management reviews
Ensuring the implementation and improvement of project quality reporting as an integrated part of project reporting.
Promote a continuous improvement culture by managing lessons learned and best-practice sharing throughout the project.
Initiate and coordinate quality-related training and awareness programs for project and site teams.
Support final acceptance, handover, and project closure, ensuring completion and proper handover of quality documentation and records
Desired Skills:
A minimum of 7-9 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager in projects roles, with a mandatory minimum of 4–5 years in the railway domain.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification (optional).
Proficiency in applying quality tools and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.
Experience of working in a project environment with cross-country collaboration.
Exposure to customer handling and management reporting.
Strong skills in site quality issue management, including NCR handling and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in complex environments and independently handle unstructured business problems.
