Project Engineer IT Administrator

To support the growing global market and ensure business continuity within the Grid Technologies Solutions division, we are seeking an experienced Projektingenieur IT Administrator in India. This role is critical for the engineering and commissioning of operator-level computer systems and IT infrastructure within complex HVDC and Grid Access projects. To address these engineering demands, this role focuses on the administration of computer systems, network configuration, and the implementation of robust IT security standards. These core areas directly ensure the high availability, security, and performance of our substation control and protection systems. Given the focus on operator-level computer systems, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT administration, network engineering, and cybersecurity within industrial environments. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, combined with several years of hands-on experience in industrial IT systems, is required.

What You Need To Make a Difference

• 50% IT Infrastructure & Server Administration
• Configure, install, and maintain server infrastructures, operating systems, and virtualization environments for HVDC operator control systems.
• Administer Active Directory, domain controllers, group policies, and user access controls tailored to substation environments.
• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure high availability and business continuity of critical project systems.
  
• 50% Project Engineering & Commissioning Support
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to define IT requirements and system architectures for global HVDC projects.
• Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site acceptance testing (SAT) for computer and network systems.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and operational manuals.
  
  
  

• Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
  
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in IT system administration, network engineering, or industrial IT environments.
• Proven experience in configuring IT infrastructure for large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects (ideally in the energy or substation automation sector).
