Post Graduate Engineer Trainee – Electrical

We are looking for a Post Graduate Engineer Trainee to join our hydropower team. You will shape the electrical design of complex hydro and pumped storage projects, from generator selection to full system integration. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering reliable, sustainable energy solutions worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Lead the electrical design of hydropower plants and pumped storage projects from concept to detailed engineering.
• Select and size generators, electrical auxiliaries, and associated systems to meet project requirements.
• Prepare technical specifications for generators, transformers, and electrical balance of plant equipment.
• Develop single line diagrams, electrical layouts, and electro-mechanical interface drawings.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Review vendor documentation and support procurement during equipment selection phases.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, design reviews, and quality assurance processes.
  
  

What You Bring

• A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical design for hydropower or large rotating machinery projects.
• Strong knowledge of generator systems, power transformers, and electrical balance of plant.
• Proficiency in preparing technical specifications and single line diagrams.
• Familiarity with international standards such as IEC and IEEE for power generation equipment.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with international project teams.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
