The short version

You'll build the machine that determines how one of the fastest-growing intelligence businesses in the world gets in front of the funds that move markets.

You'll lead the analysts who find the signal. You'll decide what we say and how we say it. And you'll own whether it works.

Why this role exists

Every day, investment committees make decisions worth hundreds of millions of dollars based on markets they only partially understand. They read the sell-side, the same consultants everyone else reads, and then make a call.

Arbolus exists because there's a better way.

We put investors directly in touch with the people who actually know — operators, buyers, customers and industry insiders who have the answer in their heads but no reason to publish it. When it works, a fund sees something its competitors don't.

The hard part isn't the insight. It's the introduction.

A partner doesn't start a conversation simply because someone sent a good email. They engage because someone has shown up already understanding the deal they're working on, the market they're thinking about or the question they're trying to answer — and is useful before the relationship even exists.

That's Deal Origination. And you'll run it.

What You'll Do

• Decide how we enter a market. Every fund, advisory firm and corporate development team is different. You'll determine which accounts to target, who matters inside them, how we approach them and, most importantly, why they should care. This isn't a template applied at volume; it's an account-by-account strategy built around live deal activity and real research priorities.
• Direct the content. Our origination wins on substance, not cadence. You'll decide what gets created and what gets put in front of a prospect — the theme, depth, format and timing. You'll work across our Insights library, marketing materials and bespoke research, commissioning new work when the right asset doesn't exist. You'll set the brief and define what good looks like.
• Have the instinct. Sometimes the right weapon is a polished sector report. Sometimes it's two pages on a competitive dynamic that only a handful of people are thinking about — one of whom happens to be the partner you want to reach. Knowing the difference, and backing the call, is a big part of the job.
• Lead the analysts. You'll manage and develop a team of Deal Analysts: sharp, commercially driven people tracking live and emerging transactions and building outbound around them. You'll raise their bar on research quality, narrative sharpness and commercial judgement, and set the standard for everything that leaves Deal Origination with the Arbolus name on it.
• Own the outcome. Conversations started and funds unlocked are the core measures of success. You'll set the targets, forecast performance and be accountable for delivering against them. You'll decide which opportunities warrant senior enterprise coverage and which the team should develop directly, using data and funnel performance to guide those decisions.
  
  

Who this is for

You'll likely have experience in at least two of the following: producing market research that professionals pay attention to, running a content-led growth function, or carrying a commercial number in a business that sells to investors.

• 6–10 years of experience across investment research, strategic consulting, BD, market intelligence, expert networks or content-led B2B growth.
• An editorial brain. You can look at a live market situation and identify the angle that makes a managing director stop scrolling and pay attention. You know what's worth researching and what isn't.
• Commercial judgement. You've owned a target. You know what a bad month feels like — and what you do about it in week two rather than week four.
• Fluency in the investment world. You understand private equity, M&A, deal processes and how investment professionals consume research. You don't need to have been an investor, but you need to hold your own in the conversation.
• A builder's temperament. There isn't a finished playbook here. You'll build it, test it, improve it and make it scalable. That's the opportunity.
