We’re looking for a highly talented commercial lawyer to join our global Legal team. The Commercial Legal Counsel provides legal and commercial support for Payoneer’s variety of engagements with its global suppliers and business partners. The position is based in Gurugram, Haryana.

What You’ll Do

• Support and provide advice on global commercial transactions.
• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including master service agreements, agreements for the purchase of goods and services, SaaS agreements, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, partnership agreements, software licenses, IT and hardware agreements.
• Partner closely and support Procurement and other business teams with commercial, business, legal and risk guidance, to align legal support with business goals.
• Collaborate with business, operations, finance, tech and other teams within Payoneer to achieve execution.
• Support dispute resolution and legal & business risk assessments.
• Develop scalable legal processes and support the continuous creation and improvement of standard form agreements and templates.
• Conduct legal training and enablement for internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to legal infrastructure for new product launches and market expansion.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and initiatives needed to support evolving business and legal priorities.
• Stay up to date with applicable laws, regulations and industry guidance that impact Payoneer’s commercial agreements.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Qualified lawyer with 3-5 years of meaningful relevant experience at global organizations or leading law firms.
• Law degree (LLB or JD) from a leading academic institution with active bar membership.
• Strong commercial/business orientation and outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills, and ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to draft and negotiate contracts.
• Excellent English professional language skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, with flexibility to work across different time zones.
• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a large number and variety of mission-critical projects and work quickly under deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations – an advantage.
• Experience in the financial services, payments, or global workforce solutions industry – an advantage.
