About The Role

The 1st Line IT Support Engineer is the first point of contact for all technical issues, providing timely support for hardware, software, and basic network-related problems. You will work closely with end users, ensuring a positive support experience while maintaining service levels and accurate documentation of incidents.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act as the first point of contact for technical enquiries, providing support via phone, email, and remote support tools.
• Log, categorise, and triage service desk tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
• Perform password resets and manage user accounts within Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Escalate complex incidents to 2nd Line Support teams where required.
• Configure and deploy workstations, laptops, and printers for end users.
• Maintain accurate hardware and asset inventory records.
• Ensure all incidents and requests are resolved within agreed SLA timelines.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 applications and administration.
• Good understanding of basic networking concepts and protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced support environment.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and support.
  
  

Our dream candidate will also have

• Previous experience in a Service Desk or IT Support environment.
• Knowledge of Active Directory user administration.
• Experience using remote support and ticketing tools.
• Relevant IT certifications or ongoing professional development.
