Join us as a Financial Control Manager

  • You’ll lead the Balance Sheet Substantiation team within Risk and Finance Data Control, driving high-quality financial control and reporting outcomes
  • You’ll oversee the accurate and timely delivery of monthly and quarterly balance sheet information to Finance and Non-Finance stakeholders across the bank

What you’ll do

As a Financial Control Manager within the Balance Sheet Substantiation team, you’ll be responsible for leading performance and overseeing day-to-day delivery activities. You'll promote a strong culture of data quality, control and accountability, while make key performance measures are achieved.

You’ll establish and maintain robust control and governance frameworks aligned to the wider strategy, operating model and process architecture. Working closely with Product Control and Finance teams, you'll help ensure the balance sheet is accurately substantiated, understood and managed within a strong control environment.

You’ll also be:

  • Supporting strategic initiatives and collaborating with onshore teams to delivery key business outcomes
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging emerging technologies including AI to enhance reporting and anomaly detection
  • Working with Product Control and Finance teams to deliver balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation, while understanding key business drivers
  • Developing and maintaining effective control frameworks that support a strong financial control environment
  • Using analytical techniques and AI-enabled tools to strengthen balance sheet oversight and identify anomalies
  • Leveraging key technologies including Oracle and AWS to support reporting, analysis and control activities

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with strong experience gained within a large multinational financial services environment. You’ll have proven leadership capability, with experience motivating, developing and directing teams while working closely with Finance and wider business stakeholders.

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience of implementing business process and procedural change within a complex organisation
  • The ability to implement operating model and strategic change initiatives
  • A proven ability to drive positive culture, influence outcomes and identify effective solutions to achieve team objectives
