Description

Provides engineering support for United's scheduled aircraft maintenance programs. Analyzes technical requirements and develops solutions that enhance maintenance program design, execution, aircraft performance, safety, and regulatory compliance. Evaluates fleet decisions by balancing cost, asset utilization, operational reliability, and efficiency. Works with internal and external stakeholders on technical issues, work-scope recommendations, project implementation, and failure investigations.

Job Overview And Responsibilities

  • Review OEM documentation affecting the scheduled maintenance program, including MRBR, MPD, STC, and ICA, and implement required program changes.
  • Develop engineering solutions and implementation plans, including project justification, cost-benefit analysis, and required regulatory or FAA approvals
  • Provide technical engineering support for maintenance program design, execution, aircraft performance, component issues, work-scope recommendations, and failure investigations.
  • Coordinate with operational groups and internal and external customers to support airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, reliability, and operational efficiency
  • Organize and manage assigned priorities and work processes to meet project deliverables on schedule
  • Create dashboards, reports using one or more reporting tools (i.e. Power BI, Palantir Foundry)

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree or related experience
  • Engineering or a related technical field
  • At least 3-4 years of engineering experience
  • Legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview
  • Strong skills in MS office applications (Excel, word, powerpoint, etc.)

What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Master's degree
  • Maintenance check engineering experience on Boeing or Airbus aircraft
  • Boeing/Airbus Structures I
  • Airframe and Powerplant license or EE license
  • Knowledge of FARS (especially 145, 25 and 121)
  • Data visualization skills using one or more reporting tools (i.e. Power BI, Palantir Foundry)
  • Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and prompt writing
