Role Overview:

As an ELV Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and optimizing intelligent low-voltage systems for residential and commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with U.S. codes and standards. This role is crucial in delivering innovative and data-driven designs that contribute to the future of building technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and engineer low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, structured cabling, data & voice, security, access control, CCTV, BMS, and AV systems.
• Deliver low-voltage designs for residential and building-scale projects in compliance with U.S. codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, IBC, TIA/EIA, BICSI).
• Prepare concept, schematic, and detailed design drawings for various ELV systems.
• Perform system calculations, device spacing, coverage, and capacity analysis to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop system layouts, single-line diagrams (SLD), and riser diagrams for clear and concise system representation.
• Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, MEP, IT, and fire engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of ELV systems.
• Support the development of parametric low-voltage models that adapt to building geometry, occupancy, and system requirements.
• Utilize Excel-based tools for load summaries, device schedules, quantity take-offs, and design automation.
• Participate in design reviews, BIM coordination, and interdisciplinary clash resolution to identify and address potential issues.
• Design HVAC control systems, including control valves and building sensors.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of applicable US codes and standards.
• Strong understanding of low-voltage system architecture, integration, and coordination.

Preferred Qualifications/Good to Have:

• Experience with BIM environments (Revit, Navisworks) for ELV modeling and coordination.
• Familiarity with parametric design tools such as Dynamo, Grasshopper, or Python.
