Job Summary
The SEO senior associate will drive advancement and refinement of both technical and strategic SEO capabilities, recommendations, and implementations to support RSMs digital strategy and roadmap. They will work closely with SEO manager, web product leaders and web content teams to ensure web infrastructure, architecture, features, and operations support and enhance the effectiveness of our SEO strategy – including understanding and implementing solutions that help RSM .com sites gain increased authority and visibility across traditional and AI search platforms.
The SEO senior associate collaborates with the SEO manager to offer internal SEO consultation to and serve as an internal SME for the web, analytics, marketing and editorial teams, as appropriate.
This role requires an individual who deeply understands the fundamentals and frequent evolutions of the search landscape, and embraces AI – both as a channel for web content and as an assistant in the SEO delivery model.
Essential Duties
Technical SEO:
- Measure, monitor, and deeply understand our firm’s SEO performance at the highest level and further by industry & LOB
- Improve our onsite performance by developing content improvement strategies, in partnership with COE and marketing teams
- Partner closely with .com product owner & developers to enhance SEO web architecture and infrastructure to better allow search engines to access, crawl, interpret and index website content
- Drive consistency in SEO reporting/KPIs
SEO Consulting & Strategy
- Serve as an internal SEO consultant to key stakeholders within CMG, specifically web content, demand generation and enterprise marketing for technical SEO implementations and strategy
- Execute short- and long-term SEO strategies that move the needle for RSM
- Support keyword and content research initiatives, as necessary
- Review on- and off-page metrics to assess the effectiveness of SEO strategies and perform competitive analyses to proactively recommend changes in SEO strategy
SEO Products/tools
- Build and maintain workspaces and reporting in BrightEdge, SEMrush, or other SEO monitoring and research tools
- Serve as an SME/power use for all SEO tools and able to provide training to technical or non-technical resources
- Drive education, usage, and adoption of available tools across relevant stakeholders
- Consistently review marketplace tools and trends to provide recommendations on technology roadmap
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
BCom, BBA or any similar degree or 4 years business equivalent (Required)
Technical/Soft Skills
- Strong project management skills (Required)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suite (Required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Required)
- Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods (Required)
- Understanding of how to measure and monitor SEO performance (Required)
- Understanding of SEO, SEM and AEO strategies and how they work together (Preferred)
- Understanding of common website architectures and back-end requirements to support SEO strategies (Preferred)
- Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen (Required)
Experience
- 7 years of experience in SEO (technical & strategic) on a B2B marketing team or agency (Required)
- Experience navigating external agency support, interactions, and project/program management (Preferred)
- Experience with SEMrush, Moz, and other marketplace SEO tools (Required)
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics and Google Search Console (Preferred)
Leadership Skills
- Ability to collaborate and strategize with senior level internal and external stakeholders ( Required)
- High sense of personal ownership in a matrix organization setting (Required)
- Able to clearly communicate ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences (Required)
