Deputy Manager, Global CFO Accounting advisory

Gurgaon, Haryana or Bangalore (India)

The Global CFO Change Transformation Office (CTO) department provides a diverse range of services to all areas of the Global and Regional CFO function. It is focused towards streamlining operations with continuous improvement mindset including enhancing transparency, effectiveness and efficiency.

In This Department, The Accounting Advisory Team Is a Pool Of Accountants And Financial Experts Serving All The Global And Regional Finance Teams. Their Main Missions Are

  • Contribute to the programs/projects entrusted to CTO department, ensuring that any changes/updates in the accounting will result in fitting the accounting standards, the regulatory requirements as well as the AXA Group requirements.
  • Gather detailed understanding of accounting issues from the Finance teams and conduct the necessary analysis/reconciliations that will enable to solve them.
  • Identify Accounting improvement opportunities across the Global and Regional CFO function and propose appropriate changes, collaborating with the accounting owners.

Being part of the CTO Accounting Advisory team needs to be proactive in performing the accounting analysis (reconciliations, mapping etc....) and proposing solutions to address the challenges encountered. As a Deputy Manager in this team, you are expected to be self-driven and motivated in performing the analysis entrusted to you and thus contribute to the department projects/initiatives’ success.

What You’ll Be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Pro-actively contribute to the Global CFO transformation programs/projects:
    • Leverage Financial Data to produce Accounting & Financial analysis and reconciliations that will support the project decision-making, partnering with the CTO Process team and with the Business & Process SME/Owners.
    • Ensuring the accuracy of the accounts following the programs/projects updates, collaborating with the Program/Project teams and the Finance SME/Process Owners.
    • Making sure that the new accounting rules developed/implemented in the framework of a project are aligned with the Regulatory and Standards Accounting rules.
  • Identify and analyze potential improvement opportunities within and between finance disciplines, in alignment with the transformation program of CFO functions.
  • Gather detailed understanding of problem statements and business requirements resulting from accounting changes/issues, analyze the potential impacts for Finance, working closely with the Finance SMEs/owners, C&CI Process team and GT teams.
  • Contribute to the quality and clarity of the General Ledger accounts by delivering analysis/reconciliations and documentations to support the Business expectations.
  • You will be required to use tools such as Power BI, FAH Cube, OBIEE, AXIOM, Microsoft Visio to clarify and document the flow of data within the organization.
You will report to Senior Manager - Accounting Advisory, CTO.

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Robust Accounting knowledge, analytical skills and attention to detail. Ideally a certification in accounting with relevant years of experience in an organization of repute with good amount of experience in Accounting and Data Analysis in the Insurance domain.
  • Exposure in the handling/ support of financial projects will be an advantage.
  • Certain appetite for data management, Data quality and information systems.
  • Autonomy, initiative, organized, able to deal effectively with multiple priorities and do multitasking.
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills, critical thinking.
