Role Overview

We’re looking for someone who builds processes that outlast their presence in the room. A person who can hold the entire BD operation in their head, see the gaps before they become problems, and close them before anyone asks. This role sits at the intersection of pipeline, positioning, and production, and it demands someone who thrives when ownership is total and direction is minimal.


You will be the engine behind the BD function - build the rhythm, run the operations, drive the output, and be the person the team counts on to keep everything moving without a prompt.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the CRM end-to-end: Every lead, stage, and next action is current, accurate, and yours to manage. Ensure no lead goes cold; design and enforce follow-up cadences across deal stages
  • Proposals and Pitch Deck Production: Convert inputs from delivery and practice teams into polished, client-ready proposals and presentations - on time, on brand, without handholding
  • Own and enforce the master template system; be the quality gate before anything reaches a client. Manage the brief-to-output cycle with a short turnaround and a high bar
  • Social media and content execution: Own Bough’s LinkedIn presence operationally - content calendar, drafting, scheduling, and basic performance tracking. Write in Bough’s voice across formats - thought leadership, carousels, announcements
  • Act as the structured interface between delivery functions and BD - ensuring requests arrive with enough context to act, without escalation


Qualifications & Experience

  • 2 - 4+ years of experience in a BD, sales enablement, client development, or marketing role - ideally within consulting, professional services, or financial advisory
  • Demonstrated ability to independently produce high-quality proposals and client-facing presentations; strong command of PowerPoint or equivalent tools
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms and outreach tools; prior familiarity with Apollo is an advantage
  • Strong written communication across registers - you can draft a client proposal, a LinkedIn post, and an outreach email, and all three will sound like Bough
  • Organised and self-directed; you build systems, not workarounds, and you flag early when something is off track
  • Working knowledge of, or genuine curiosity about, consulting-adjacent domains: ESG, governance, risk, strategy - you don’t need to be a subject matter expert, but you need to engage credibly with the material

  • Bias to action in ambiguous environments; you start and iterate rather than wait for perfect instructions
  • High attention to detail without losing pace; quality and speed are not a trade-off for you
  • Stakeholder management across internal teams; earns trust quickly without needing authority to drive outcomes
  • Comfortable with AI-assisted workflows for content drafting, research, and automation - you use leverage intelligently
  • Documentation discipline: you build SOPs and playbooks as you go, not retrospectively
