About Ugaoo: Ugaoo is building India’s largest gardening brand, offering plants, planters, and gardening essentials through retail stores, e-commerce, and corporate gifting. Our stores are immersive green spaces, and we’re expanding our retail footprint nationally.

Role Overview: The City Head – Retail owns the P&L for Ugaoo’s Mumbai retail stores, leading multi-store operations, driving sales and profitability, building high-performing teams, and ensuring consistent customer experience — while working cross-functionally with Marketing, HR, Supply Chain, Finance, and Visual Merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

• Business & Revenue: Own city P&L; drive revenue and profitability; track sales, conversion, ATV, UPT, and productivity; build and execute city-level growth plans.
• Retail Operations: Ensure smooth store execution, visual merchandising, and SOP compliance; conduct store audits and drive corrective action plans.
• Team Leadership: Lead and coach Store Managers and retail teams; partner with HR on hiring and succession planning; drive training and capability building.
• Customer Experience: Ensure consistent, premium service across stores; resolve escalations; drive engagement and loyalty.
• Inventory & Commercial Planning: Ensure stock availability and health; partner with Supply Chain on replenishment; control shrinkage and audit compliance.
• New Store Launches: Support new openings, operational readiness, and stabilization; drive expansion within the city.
• Cross-functional Collaboration & Reporting: Align with Marketing, VM, HR, and Finance; present regular business reviews to senior leadership.
  
  

Skills & Competencies: Strong P&L and multi-store leadership experience; excellent people management, analytical, and communication skills; high ownership and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred Experience: 7–10 years in retail operations with multi-store management, ideally in lifestyle, home décor, FMCG, fashion, or consumer retail; strong grasp of retail KPIs; new store launch experience a plus.
