BESS Electrical Design Engineer

As a BESS Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a central role in designing battery energy storage systems that accelerate the shift to clean energy across the globe.

We are looking for a passionate engineer who wants to shape the future of energy storage. You will join a team of experts delivering innovative solutions for utility-scale projects, microgrids, and hybrid systems worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Design and engineer electrical and control systems for energy storage solutions, from concept to detailed engineering.
• Size battery capacity and finalize system configurations for global tenders and project requirements.
• Design and integrate BESS systems for utility-scale, microgrid, and solar hybrid applications, including containerized and modular architectures (DC and AC coupled).
• Serve as the single point of contact for BESS technical discussions with global developers and vendors.
• Prepare technical specifications, including electrical panel design, cable sizing, busbar sizing, and switchgear selection.
• Integrate battery packs, hardware components, and software interfaces into cohesive system designs.
• Create technical documents, reports, and presentations aligned with project specifications and quality standards.
  
  

What You Bring

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in BESS or renewable energy system design and integration.
• Solid knowledge of electrical panel design, cable sizing, busbar sizing, and switchgear selection.
• Basic understanding of solar and wind power plant design concepts and energy yield simulation tools such as PVsyst or WindPro.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
