Reports to: National Manager – DAS & ElMech (SI)
Position Summary
The Business Development Manager – EAC (South) is responsible for driving sales growth of ASSA ABLOY Digital Access Solutions (DAS) products across the South India region. This role focuses on building strong relationships with channel partners, consultants, and end customers while ensuring technical excellence in solution specifications and customer engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Actively promote ASSA ABLOY Digital Access Solutions range of products and solutions to professional end users and end customers.
Drive the team to acquire new clients, retain existing ones, and expand the scope of ongoing business relationships.
Develop and maintain the ability to generate repeat business from existing customers through consistent value delivery.
Plan and implement lead generation activities through various channels and develop new business contacts.
Channel Partner Management
Support channel partners in sales, installation, and after-sales support capabilities through formal, hands-on product training.
Provide specification support and conduct ongoing assessment and development of partner skills to ensure proper representation of the DAS portfolio.
Provide commercial, marketing, and strategic support to existing accounts.
Technical Specification & Stakeholder Engagement
Specify ASSA ABLOYs complete Access Control solutions for large-scale projects by engaging MEP consultants, architects, and contractors.
Successfully present technical concepts, solution details, and feasibility studies to key decision-makers.
Handle pilot/mock-up demonstrations of products and educate key stakeholders on technical aspects and use cases.
Skills & Competencies
Education
Full-time Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, IT, Production, or Mechanical) OR MBA in Marketing and Sales from an accredited college or university.
Experience
6–8 years of experience in selling ELV products (CCTV, Access Control, Fire, PA, BMS, etc.).
Hands-on knowledge of Access Control systems is mandatory.
Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for reporting and analysis.
Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and effective time management habits.
Motivated self-starter with a high aptitude for acquiring new skills and adapting to evolving industry requirements.
