About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and business-focused Legal Associate to support OnGrid's rapidly growing operations. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with leadership, commercial teams, product teams, and external stakeholders on a wide range of legal, contractual, compliance, and regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate should possess strong contract management skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including:Customer Agreements
• Vendor Contracts
• Service Agreements
• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
• Partnership Agreements
• Terms of Use and Privacy Policies

• Partner with business teams to provide practical legal advice and support commercial transactions.
• Manage the complete contract lifecycle, including execution, tracking, renewals, amendments, and closure of agreements.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks associated with business operations.
• Support compliance initiatives related to corporate governance, data privacy, information security, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor evolving legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on their impact on the business.
• Coordinate with external counsels on legal notices, disputes, litigation matters, and regulatory filings when required.
• Assist in developing internal legal processes, templates, and governance frameworks to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure business decisions align with legal and compliance requirements.
  
  

• LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in a law firm or an in-house legal team.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and contract management.
• Sound understanding of contract law, commercial law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent legal drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills and a willingness to learn.
• Prior experience in technology, SaaS, fintech, regtech, KYC, verification, or compliance-driven businesses will be an advantage.
