We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Collation & Secondary Research Analyst to support our research, investment, and strategy teams by gathering, validating, and organizing data from a variety of premium information platforms. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working with large datasets, and the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into structured, actionable outputs.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Collation
Collect, extract, and organize quantitative and qualitative data from premium research platforms including CapitalIQ, PitchBook, LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Mergermarket, and other proprietary databases
Build and maintain structured datasets, trackers, and databases for market mapping, deal tracking, competitive analysis, and sector research
Aggregate information across multiple sources to ensure completeness and accuracy
Secondary Research
Conduct secondary market and company research to support investment diligence, market sizing, benchmarking, and industry analysis.
Retrieve information on company financials, ownership structures, management teams, transactions, industry trends, and competitive landscapes
Review reports, filings, news sources, and analyst research to extract relevant insights
Data Validation & Quality Assurance
Verify data accuracy through cross-checking across multiple platforms (e.g., CapitalIQ vs. PitchBook vs. public filings)
Identify gaps or inconsistencies and resolve them through additional research
Maintain high-quality standards for all outputs, ensuring data is up-to-date, well-organized, and audit friendly
Reporting & Presentation Support
Prepare clean, structured outputs for use in Excel, PowerPoint, and internal dashboards
Create summary memos, sector overviews, and company profiles based on compiled data
Collaborate with deal teams and research leads to understand data requirements and deliver timely results
KEY COMPETENCIES
Bachelors degree in business, Economics, Finance, or related field
1–3 years of experience in data research, investment research, consulting, analytics, or a similar field
Strong proficiency in secondary research tools such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, LinkedIn, Crunchbase, and other industry data platforms
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to structure and clean large datasets
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a process-oriented approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver high-quality outputs under tight timelines
