Assistant Vice President- Testing Corporate Actions

This is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

Senior Test Analyst supporting Investor Services Operations Change Testing Organization.

Delivers by performing the following:

Works with technology project managers, UAT professionals and users to design, implement and execute appropriate test scripts/plans for an application testing strategy/approach. Prepare where required: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Test Coverage analysis for a given testing assignment.

Extensive knowledge on Corporate Actions.

Stakeholder Interaction: Interact with test manager, business analyst and teams to fully understand the requirements. For the specific testing project, support the Test Manager(s) by contributing to the Test Plan(s) for the relevant test phases, the Test Readiness Reviews, test progress reporting, the Test Completion/Summary Reports and Test Defect Reports.

Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases.

Process Improvement & Automation: Drive continuous process improvement and extract efficiencies from the testing lifecycle. Develop automation approach for various types of testing (SIT, UAT etc.) for web/UI and database applications impacting fund services. lead test automation initiative and implement best automation tools and practices.

Methodology Adaptation: Adapt to and utilize various test methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and Iterative development.

 
Qualifications:

• 8-10 years relevant experience
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication, facilitation and influencing skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle conflicting priorities.

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
• Corporate actions domain knowledge is must
• Testing expertise - minimal 8 years
