As a Contract Logistics Specialist at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage end-to-end warehousing operations for our customers. By doing so with precision, you not only contribute to the success of your team, but also to the day-to-day operations and success in the warehouse and distribution centres. For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. Join our Contract Logistics team to add your leadership expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational Excellence. Your primary objective will be to lead our shared/dedicated warehouse operations + product to achieve all agreed financial + operational objectives working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders.

• To own the growth strategy for developing + expanding our product, with support of a cohesive Real Estate strategy + deep understanding of customer needs.
• To act as the partner to customers by understanding their strategy, short-term, medium-term + long-term goals + determining how we can support them in achieving those goals.
• To offer an extraordinary customer experience journey, ensuring full engagement from your team.
• To set + ensure the achievement or surpassing of financial targets, anticipating any deviations + responding promptly with transparency to senior management regarding progress, challenges + opportunities.
• To define + approve service level agreements with customers, subsequently monitor + report on them with a mindset of continual improvement + customer enablement.
• To ensure an efficient organization in terms productivity + seasonality while fostering the development of your team members.
• To stay close to the forefront of automation, seek innovative solutions, leverage technology, digitize operations + keep abreast of the market development, customers + their demands.
  
  

What we would like you to bring

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in logistics or supply chain, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within contract logistics.
• Proven track record of P&L ownership and business growth.
• Experience managing large-scale warehouse or distribution operations.
• Strategic thinker with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of warehousing, distribution models, WMS/TMS systems, and automation technologies.
