Ad Operations Specialist

As an Ad Operations Specialist on the Ad Operations team in our Gurugram office, youll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless setup, execution, optimization, and delivery of digital advertising campaigns. Youll work closely with cross-functional teams including Account Management, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to deliver exceptional client outcomes through operational excellence and technical expertise.

To thrive in this role, youll need:

• 2+ years of experience in Digital Marketing, Ad Operations, Programmatic Advertising, or the Ad Technology industry.
• Strong understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, DMPs, Ad Exchanges, Ad Servers, and RTB fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with campaign trafficking, optimization, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring across display, native, and video advertising platforms.
• Good understanding of digital advertising KPIs and pricing models including CPM, vCPM, CPC, CPCV, CPA, CPA Goal, ROAS, and CPC Goal.
• Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Index-Match, advanced formulas, data analysis, and reporting).
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validating, analyzing, and troubleshooting campaign, advertiser, and performance datasets. Ability to write basic to intermediate SQL queries involving filtering, joins, aggregations, and data validation will be highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate campaign delivery issues and identify root causes using data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience working with DSPs and advertising platforms such as Taboola’s Realize DSP, Google Ad Manager (GAM), Google Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk (TTD), Outbrain, or other programmatic buying platforms.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, or browser debugging tools for troubleshooting tracking pixels, impression/click trackers, and website integrations.
• Experience working with AI-powered productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar LLMs for process automation, reporting, documentation, campaign troubleshooting, workflow optimization, or operational efficiency.
• Exposure to workflow automation, prompt engineering, AI-assisted reporting, or internal AI initiatives will be considered an added advantage.
• Knowledge of APIs, tagging, tracking implementations, or third-party measurement solutions is a plus.

• Setting up, managing, monitoring, and optimizing display, native, and video advertising campaigns across Taboolas advertising platforms while ensuring high execution quality.
• Managing campaign setup and execution on Taboolas DSP (Realize) while ensuring campaign delivery aligns with client objectives and platform best practices.
• Performing comprehensive QA checks to ensure flawless campaign launches, tracking implementation, creative rendering, and campaign delivery.
• Monitoring campaign health, pacing, budget utilization, and delivery to proactively identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshooting campaign delivery, tracking, targeting, and technical issues while collaborating with Product and Engineering teams when required.
• Analyzing campaign performance data and preparing actionable reports that help internal stakeholders and clients improve campaign outcomes.
• Leveraging SQL and analytical tools to investigate campaign performance, validate data, identify anomalies, and support operational decision-making.
• Utilizing AI tools and automation opportunities to improve reporting quality, streamline operational workflows, enhance productivity, and reduce manual effort.
• Collaborating closely with Account Management, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering teams to deliver exceptional customer experience.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives, documentation, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence projects.
• Staying up to date with emerging trends in digital advertising, programmatic technologies, AI, privacy regulations, and Ad Tech innovations.
