The impact you will make

You will be responsible for the development of new features and tools to support our industry leading healthcare software. As a Software Engineer at FinThirve, youll play a vital role in advancing innovative healthcare solutions, helping build industry-leading products that empower providers, enhance patient experiences, and deliver meaningful outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have experience with software development practices and patterns, as well as direct experience in researching, implementing, and supporting enterprise-level cloud-based solutions. Success in this role requires comfort working in a fast-paced, forward-looking environment that embraces agile (SCRUM) practices, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.

 

What you will do

  • Develop new features and maintain and enhance existing functionality
  • Work within and maintain an extensible and performant system architecture
  • Maintain knowledge of emergent trends in software development platforms, tools, methodologies and their underlying principles
  • Write and review code, unit test within CI/CD pipeline
  • Build tools to support automation and productivity
  • Communicate effectively with team members and project leadership to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
  • Collaborate with support organizations to resolve production issues
  • Provide application support by analyzing defects, replicating/fixing defects and providing root cause analysis for defects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve functional related issues
  • Seek development opportunities above and beyond required training

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or experience through higher education
  • 1+ year of experience in Software Development
  • Experience in developing software in an Agile environment
  • Strong understanding of Java Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts
  • Familiarity with Springboot
  • Familiarity with Microservices and monolithic architecture
  • Experience working in one of a major cloud environment ie. Azure/AWS
  • Good understanding of RDBMS (familiar with SQL queries, development & optimization)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

 

What we would like to see

  • Familiarity in healthcare and/or knowledge of CMS processes and standards.
  • Experience with the following:
  • .NET/C#
  • Basic knowledge of frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, SCSS, Angular and JavaScript
  • Docker, Message broker, Azure Functions, ADF
  • Provision Resources/Deploy Applications/Improve efficiency and reliability
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (ie. Azure Devops)
  • TDD, JIRA, Confluence
  • Terraform
