QA/QC Welding Inspector 16J25

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QA/QC Welding Inspector to join our team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of welding activities to ensure compliance with standards.
• Review welding procedures and specifications to ascertain quality requirements.
• Monitor welding processes to ensure they meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as radiography, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle testing.
• Document and report any discrepancies, defects, or non-conformances found during inspections.
• Collaborate with project engineers to address quality concerns and develop corrective actions.
• Oversee welder qualifications and re-qualifications as per industry standards and procedures.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of welding inspections and test results.
• Participate in quality audits and assessments to ensure continuous improvement.
• Provide guidance and training to welding personnel on quality control techniques.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance plans and protocols.
• Ensure all safety procedures and regulations are followed during inspection activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification in welding inspection or a related field.
• Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Inspector or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in welding inspection or quality control.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and codes such as ASME, AWS, and API.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
