Job Description

As a Purchase Executive, you will be at the forefront of procuring essential materials and resources that drive organizational operations. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process to ensure that goods and services are acquired in a timely, cost-effective manner, adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Your role will be crucial in maintaining inventory levels, reducing supply chain costs, and achieving budget goals, contributing significantly to the overall success of the organization. Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent negotiation capabilities are critical for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in alignment with company goals.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for operations.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing structures.
  • Manage supplier relationships to sustain quality and reliability of supply chains.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and evaluate their offerings.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to assess current and future inventory needs.
  • Analyze and compare bids to ensure cost control and value for money.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding procurement decisions and financial transactions.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and governmental regulations.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies regarding invoices and supplier payments.
  • Prepare financial reports and updates on purchasing activities for management review.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish strong supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical abilities for evaluating vendor bids and assessing market trends.
  • Familiarity with legal regulations and ethical standards in procurement practices.
