Job Description

The Purchase Executive is a pivotal role in the supply chain process, requiring a strategic thinker who can efficiently manage procurement tasks to ensure the organization's operational needs are met. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation, negotiation, and coordination of purchasing activities. Working within a fast-paced environment, the Purchase Executive will be tasked with maintaining critical supplier relationships and ensuring the company's procurement policies and procedures are adhered to. This role demands exceptional communication and negotiation skills, alongside a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and pricing strategies. The Purchase Executive will collaborate with various departments to align purchasing strategies with business goals and deliver cost-effective solutions that support the company’s overall objectives.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms.
  • Monitor the quality of purchased products and resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify changing supply trends and potential vendor sources.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their material requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure that purchasing procedures comply with company policies and standards.
  • Develop procurement reports to track efficiency, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock without overburdening storage.
  • Oversee and manage the procurement budget for departmental and project needs.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the purchasing team and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or in a similar procurement role.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills required.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
