The Purchase Executive plays a crucial role in an organization's procurement process by ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing activities. Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions for purchases.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify new suppliers.
  • Manage procurement processes including purchase requisitions, orders, and contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure clarity of goods and services requirements.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand to avoid shortages or excesses.
  • Evaluate supplier quality and delivery performance to assure consistency and value.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Participate in vendor audits and assessments to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Resolve discrepancies involving delivery, pricing, and quality with suppliers.
  • Continuously seek out cost-saving measures without compromising quality or reliability.
  • Track trends and changes in the industry to anticipate future purchasing needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in purchasing or procurement role within a similar industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for effective decision-making.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite for daily tasks.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for vendor interactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles and best practices.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all procurement activities.
  • Strong organizational skills to track and manage large volumes of procurement data.
