Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Process Planning Manager - Metal to join our team and lead the process planning efforts in our metal fabrication division. This role is critical in ensuring effective and efficient production processes, supporting our commitment to delivering high-quality metal products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in process planning within the metal industry, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to drive process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce costs. The Process Planning Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, incorporate new technologies, and ensure compliance with industry standards while maintaining a safe working environment. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement detailed process plans for all metal fabrication projects.
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to align production processes with technical specifications.
  • Analyze current production processes and identify areas for improvements and cost reductions.
  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and innovative methods into existing processes.
  • Ensure all processes comply with industry regulations and safety standards at all times.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process planners to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely and efficient material availability for production.
  • Prepare detailed reports on production efficiency, cost analysis, and process effectiveness.
  • Facilitate training and workshops to promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high standards of product quality and consistency.
  • Evaluate equipment and tool effectiveness and recommend upgrades or replacements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process planning within the metal industry.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication techniques and production processes.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional analytical skills for identifying process inefficiencies and developing solutions.
  • Proficiency in using planning and process management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and safety standards.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements is essential.
