Principal Engineer - Construction (225-909)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Principal Engineer for our construction projects. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will act as a key decision-maker, collaborate with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, and lead a team of engineers and technical staff. Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and design phases of major construction engineering projects.
• Oversee and coordinate engineering activities to ensure project compliance with specifications.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to optimize operational efficiency and resource use.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Ensure that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are strictly adhered to.
• Conduct site evaluations to assess progress and ensure any issues are promptly addressed.
• Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications before implementation.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
• Identify and resolve engineering and technical discrepancies and challenges.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports, documentation, and presentations as required.
• Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Play a key role in project risk management, ensuring potential issues are mitigated.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant engineering and project management experience.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing large engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of construction technologies, methods, and regulations.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
