Job Description

As an MEP Engineer, you will play a vital role in the design, development, and maintenance of building projects, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. This position is crucial for ensuring that all installations meet the safety standards and function efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to ensure successful project delivery. Your expertise will contribute to the overall success of projects in terms of functionality, compliance, and efficiency. The role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, MEP systems, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to project timelines and budgets.


Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and oversee the installation of MEP systems in various types of buildings.
  • Coordinate with architects and construction teams to integrate MEP systems effectively.
  • Review and approve engineering and design documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor the compliance of installations against design specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to MEP system components during project execution.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and project timelines for MEP installations.
  • Ensure all MEP work complies with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Facilitate communication and manage relationships between stakeholders and subcontractors.
  • Participate in the commissioning and testing of MEP systems to ensure functionality.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and create reports on MEP system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience working as an MEP Engineer.
  • Proficient in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and MEP system operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex MEP issues.
