Job Description

As a Medical Representative, you will serve as a key link between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and medical staff. Your primary role will be to promote and effectively communicate the benefits of specific medical products, facilitating their adoption and usage in various healthcare settings. With a clear understanding of the products and their marketplace, you will leverage your strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain professional relationships. Tasked with meeting sales targets within your designated territory, you will deliver engaging presentations and informative discussions, ensuring that healthcare providers have up-to-date knowledge about the products you represent. Your ability to analyze market data and trends will be crucial in strategically positioning your products to gain a competitive advantage and maximally benefit both the healthcare providers and their patients.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with medical staff and stakeholders.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of company products to communicate their value effectively.
  • Plan and implement strategies to achieve product sales targets and market penetration.
  • Organize appointments and meetings with community and hospital-based healthcare staff.
  • Demonstrate and present products to healthcare professionals through detailed presentations.
  • Keep up-to-date with new medical data, developments, and competitive products in the market.
  • Analyze sales data to enhance sales strategies and increase market share.
  • Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to represent the company.
  • Deliver sales reports and feedback regarding customer needs, problems, interests, and activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to align strategies for maximum effectiveness and outreach.
  • Provide product demonstration and training for healthcare professionals where necessary.
  • Comply with all regulations, policies, and quality standards related to medical sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field required.
  • Proven medical sales experience, with a comprehensive portfolio of successful sales.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to understand and effectively communicate complex medical terms and product information.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within your assigned sales territory and occasionally beyond.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficient in the use of MS Office programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
