Job Description

The Logistics Supervisor is a critical role within any organization that requires well-coordinated and efficient logistics operations. As a Logistics Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation of all logistics activities, including the management of inventory, transportation, and warehousing. Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic logistics plans to support business objectives and growth.
  • Evaluate and select transportation options to improve delivery efficiency.
  • Manage logistics team, providing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align logistics strategies with company goals.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement in cost and service.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and vendors to secure favorable terms.
  • Monitor and report on logistics performance metrics and operational KPIs.
  • Implement and maintain logistics technology systems for better tracking and management.
  • Respond promptly to logistics issues or emergencies to minimize disruption.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of logistics management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics processes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a logistics team effectively.
  • Proficient in logistics software and technology, including ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
