Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for managing the full spectrum of logistics activities to ensure seamless operations. This role requires an individual who can efficiently coordinate, track, and optimize logistics processes to meet the strategic and tactical objectives of the company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will be responsible for overseeing product storage, inventory levels, transportation scheduling, and customer delivery processes. Serving as the main point of contact for both internal and external logistics-related inquiries, the Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining high customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient delivery of goods.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all logistics operations and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the supply chain process.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage reorder processes according to demand forecasts.
  • Liaise with suppliers, transportation teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all logistics operations and draft regular reports for management.
  • Resolve any logistics-related issues that may arise with creativity and timeliness.
  • Communicate clearly with all departments to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Evaluate and select transportation carriers and negotiate favorable contracts and agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international shipping regulations and customs laws.
  • Coordinate with warehouses for the efficient storage and distribution of goods.
  • Analyze logistics data and KPI metrics to enhance process efficiencies and service levels.
  • Implement logistics technologies and software to streamline operations and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field.
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar supply chain role.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines effectively.
