The role of a Logistics Coordinator involves steering the intricate processes of transportation and distribution in a variety of industries. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all stages of the logistics process ensuring efficient delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for smooth operations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
  • Prepare and maintain shipment documentation and manage invoices for record-keeping.
  • Analyze logistics performance using appropriate metrics and initiate improvement strategies.
  • Resolve any arising problems or complaints in a professional manner efficiently.
  • Oversee warehouse operations to maintain inventory and prevent discrepancies.
  • Manage transportation, ensuring compliance with local and global regulations.
  • Liaise with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems.
  • Negotiate transportation and logistics rates to reduce overall costs efficiently.
  • Maintain record of quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs.
  • Supervise orders and arrange stocking of raw materials and equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience working as a logistics coordinator or in a similar role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving organizational goals.
