Job Description

The Lift Technician 28J25 is a pivotal role responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various elevator systems and components. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to lift operations. The position requires a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure elevators operate efficiently and safely. Lift Technicians must adhere to all safety standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining a system's integrity and providing customers with reliable and efficient service. This role also demands excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members, ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on lift systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot lift system faults to promptly address issues that arise.
  • Repair and replace defective components in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards to maintain operational safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and service reports for all jobs completed.
  • Respond efficiently to service calls and attend to elevator system malfunctions in a timely manner.
  • Conduct safety tests and inspections, documenting findings and implementing necessary improvements.
  • Coordinate with building managers and tenants to schedule maintenance without causing disruptions.
  • Update knowledge and skills continuously to adapt to evolving elevator technologies and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians in the team.
  • Identify and report potential lift system improvements for increased efficiency and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to discuss service results and necessary actions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with elevator systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic lift systems.
  • Valid lift technician license or certification according to local regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
