Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team, responsible for providing exceptional technical assistance to our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a good understanding of IT systems, and the ability to deliver high-quality support to end-users. Your primary role will be the first point of contact for all IT-related inquiries, where you will troubleshoot issues, manage user accounts, and ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our IT infrastructure. In addition to technical expertise, you should have excellent communication skills to assist users of varying technical proficiency and ensure a smooth user experience. Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to users experiencing IT issues and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and peripheral devices in the organization.
  • Manage and administer user accounts, passwords, and access permissions to maintain security protocols.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues to ensure seamless access to network resources.
  • Document and track reported issues and their resolutions within the help desk system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to enhance the organization's overall IT systems.
  • Conduct regular system audits and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to users for standard software and hardware usage.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for IT equipment procurement and service agreements.
  • Assist with the setup and support of audio/visual equipment for presentations and meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist, with a strong troubleshooting record.
  • Proficient understanding of IT systems, networks, and computer hardware/software.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide effective support to non-technical users.
  • Strong organizational skills to document and track technical issues efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Professional IT certification, such as CompTIA A+, is an advantage but not essential.
