Job Description

The Facilities Manager position, designated as 24J25, involves overseeing and managing all aspects of building maintenance and operations within an organization. This role is critical in ensuring that the physical infrastructure supports the company’s goals and objectives through efficient, cost-effective building systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are safe, up to code, and fully operational. They will manage vendor contracts, supervise staff, and coordinate with company leadership to develop and implement strategies for sustainable and efficient facilities management. An ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and crisis management.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee maintenance procedures for all building systems and facilities.
  • Manage all service contracts and vendor relationships to ensure top service delivery.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Prepare and manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in all operations.
  • Implement and maintain a robust emergency management and response plan.
  • Coordinate space planning and layout changes to maximize facility usage and efficiency.
  • Manage energy consumption and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Develop long-term strategic plans for infrastructure upgrades and equipment replacement.
  • Ensure all systems and processes comply with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with senior management on facility priorities and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, engineering, business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in facilities management or a similar role preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in managing building maintenance and budgeting processes.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising diverse teams of professionals.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and capacity to handle complex situations effectively.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills required for effective collaboration.
  • Detailed knowledge of building regulations, codes, and safety protocols.
