Job Description

The Food & Beverage (F&B) Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the operations of the food and beverage department. This position is essential for ensuring the seamless execution of dining experiences that meet the highest standards. The coordinator is responsible for handling various administrative tasks that ensure efficiency and excellent customer service within the F&B operations. This involves coordinating communication between kitchen staff, service staff, and management teams to fulfill guest requirements and enhance their experience. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills, making them an integral support to ensuring guest satisfaction and operational success. They will work closely with other team members and report to the F&B manager to support the various functions of the department.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily operations of the food and beverage department efficiently and smoothly.
  • Assist in planning and executing special events and catering services as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain updated records of expenses, inventory, and order related to F&B operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all F&B processes.
  • Assist with menu planning, including updating menu items as directed by the chef.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally to maintain goodwill.
  • Support management with administrative duties such as scheduling and payroll management.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of orders for all kitchen supplies.
  • Train and assist new hires to adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Develop promotional initiatives to boost sales and improve customer engagement.
  • Prepare reports on sales, operational budgets, and productivity regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an F&B operational role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and staff.
  • Proficiency in using restaurant management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to multitask and handle challenging situations in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure compliance.
